Zürich 2026
The day started with a relaxed breakfast and an easy tram ride into the city. Even though parts of Zurich were affected by May Day demonstrations and a few streets were temporarily closed, the atmosphere throughout the city remained calm and enjoyable.
One of the first stops was the ETH viewpoint overlooking Zurich. From up there, the city reveals its unique mix of historic architecture, modern urban design and the distant snow-covered Alps. A perfect place to slow down for a moment and take in the scenery.
Later, the route continued through the city center toward the main station, passing interesting architectural details and several viewpoints along the way.
Eventually, the walk led down to Lake Zurich — easily one of the highlights of the day. Clear skies, reflections on the water and the Alpine backdrop created exactly the kind of scenery Zurich is known for.
Another memorable stop was the Le Corbusier Pavilion near the lake. Its bold colors, geometric structure and modernist design make it a fascinating place, especially for anyone interested in architecture and photography.
As evening approached, the atmosphere around the lake became even more impressive. Warm sunset light, colorful flowerbeds and the relaxed mood along the waterfront gave the city an almost cinematic feeling. Later that night, the full moon appeared above Zurich — the perfect ending to a really good day in Switzerland.
